Zoya Akhtar directorial ' Gully Boy' based on the stories of underground street rappers of Mumbai starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles have opened with an overwhelming response at the box office and have set the cash registers ringing. Loosely inspired by the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy, people have flocked into the theaters to see the film. The film has received great reviews from the critics and the audience alike. The opening day collection is the second best ever for Ranveer Singh after 'Simmba' and the best ever for Alia Bhatt.
